Dr. Tan Truong, OD, MPH, PhD, FAAO
Dr. Tan Truong has more than 10 years of experience covering a diverse scope of practice in clinical optometry. He received his undergraduate degree and his doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley. Afterwards, he ventured into the field of clinical research and made important contributions to the development of new ophthalmic products for the contact lens industry and investigated the basic mechanisms of ocular inflammation in academia at UC Berkeley. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry teaching in an academic environment with access to the most current thoughts in patient care. He is a two-time recipient of the Ezell Fellowship given by the American Optometric Foundation. This award is a direct result of his commitment to advancing the field of Optometry and Vision Science through rigorous research and dedication to education. Imagine Optometry is a manifestation of his passion to advance our knowledge and improve the delivery of care to patients both directly and indirectly through clinical practice and translational research.
Dr. Xin Yuan (Tianna) Tian, OD
Dr. Tian was born in China and immigrated to Southern California when she was 10 years old. She is fluent in Mandarin and enjoys serving the Chinese community. She studied Human Nutrition in her undergraduate studies and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. During her clinical rotations, she rotated through Hayward Community Clinic, San Rafael Community Clinic, and the San Jose Veterans Affairs Clinic.
Outside of work, Dr. Tian enjoys spending time with her two bunnies, cat and husband,exploring restaurants around the area, and trying different escape rooms.
During her 4th year of optometry school, Dr. Tian worked as a part-time optician for IMAGINE Optometry. She is passionate about providing comprehensive eyecare and is excited to return as an optometrist at IMAGINE Optometry.
