Dr. Tan Truong, OD, MPH, PhD, FAAO

Dr. Tan Truong has more than 10 years of experience covering a diverse scope of practice in clinical optometry. He received his undergraduate degree and his doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley. Afterwards, he ventured into the field of clinical research and made important contributions to the development of new ophthalmic products for the contact lens industry and investigated the basic mechanisms of ocular inflammation in academia at UC Berkeley. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry teaching in an academic environment with access to the most current thoughts in patient care. He is a two-time recipient of the Ezell Fellowship given by the American Optometric Foundation. This award is a direct result of his commitment to advancing the field of Optometry and Vision Science through rigorous research and dedication to education. Imagine Optometry is a manifestation of his passion to advance our knowledge and improve the delivery of care to patients both directly and indirectly through clinical practice and translational research. 

Dr. Xin Yuan (Tianna) Tian, OD

Dr. Tian was born in China and immigrated to Southern California when she was 10 years old. She is fluent in Mandarin and enjoys serving the Chinese community. She studied Human Nutrition in her undergraduate studies and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. During her clinical rotations, she rotated through Hayward Community Clinic, San Rafael Community Clinic, and the San Jose Veterans Affairs Clinic.

Outside of work, Dr. Tian enjoys spending time with her two bunnies, cat and husband,exploring restaurants around the area, and trying different escape rooms.

During her 4th year of optometry school, Dr. Tian worked as a part-time optician for IMAGINE Optometry. She is passionate about providing comprehensive eyecare and is excited to return as an optometrist at IMAGINE Optometry.

Dr. Anh Le, OD

Dr. Le graduated from the University of California Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2003. She has worked in several private practices before coming to IMAGINE Optometry. This experience has given her a wealth of knowledge in the areas of contact lens fitting, orthokeratology, pediatrics, and the treatment of ocular diseases. She especially loves to work with children and strongly feels that having good vision in childhood can impact all aspects of their lives and can give them the potential for a great future. She is a proud mother of two lovely children and is adept at helping children feel comfortable during an exam, some of them may even find themselves having fun by the time she’s done.

Dr. Le also has great insight into current research trends due to her 4 years of experience working in science and research prior to becoming an optometrist. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, San Diego in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Psychology in 1995. She is fluent in Vietnamese and can perform an exam in Spanish with ease.
